Sep-Pak Alumina N Vac RC cartridges contain a highly active grade of alumina with a neutral surface chemistry. The aluminum oxide surface provides an extremely polar surface for analyte retention and has properties of a Lewis acid. This normal phase sorbent is similar in use to silica; however, it is slightly more stable than unfunctionalized silica under high pH conditions. This neutral alumina is suitable for applications such as synthetic crude oil fractionation. These cartridges feature an integral 20 cc funnel-shaped reservoir for convenient processing of larger volumes of samples. They can be used with robotic sample preparation equipment or with vacuum manifolds.

The 6 cc Oasis MCX cartridges contain the Oasis MCX, which is a novel, mixed-mode polymeric sorbent that has been optimized to achieve higher selectivity and sensitivity for extracting basic compounds with cation-exchange groups. Since the Oasis MCX sorbent is water wettable, it maintains its capability for higher retention and excellent recoveries even if the sorbent runs dry, which means there is no need to take extraordinary steps to keep the sorbent beds from drying out during the critical steps prior to sample loading.

The 1 cc flangeless Oasis HLB cartridges contain the Oasis HLB sorbent, which is a universal polymeric reversed-phase sorbent that was developed for the extraction of a wide range of acidic, basic, and neutral compounds from various matrices using a simple, generic protocol. Since the Oasis HLB sorbent is water wettable, it maintains its capability for higher retention and excellent recoveries even if the sorbent runs dry, which means there is no need to take extraordinary steps to keep the sorbent beds from drying out during the critical steps prior to sample loading. The flangeless configuration allows the cartridges to be closely packed for processing in specialized automated SPE systems.

The 3 cc Oasis WAX cartridges contain the Oasis WAX sorbent, which is a polymeric reversed-phase, weak anion exchange mixed-mode sorbent that has been optimized for fast, simple, and highly selective sample preparation of strong acidic compounds. Since the Oasis WAX sorbent is water wettable, it maintains its capability for higher retention and excellent recoveries even if the sorbent runs dry, which means there is no need to take extraordinary steps to keep the sorbent beds from drying out during the critical steps prior to sample loading. The 60 µm particle size is recommended when working with viscous samples. These syringe-barrel-type cartridges are designed for use with vacuum manifolds and automated SPE instruments.
